Archivore is an architecture practice founded by Maria Vrondas, based in the Sutherland Shire of NSW.
In Greek, archi means the beginning or the base, and vore means to consume or find sustenance in.
We all live in built spaces, yet few people realise how the quality of those everyday spaces can impact the quality of our lives; in each moment, and across generations.
So we bring intention and care to residential design, creating homes that sustain and elevate people’s lives.
Our clients value thoughtful and considered design, that enhances their relationships with family and friends, and promotes nurturing connections with nature.
When you’re renovating or building a new home, your project will consume your life, for a while. You’ll be living on a steady diet of architecture, so we do everything possible to make the process enjoyable and fulfilling.

Who is Maria Vrondas?
Maria is a registered architect with more than two decades of experience. She founded Archivore in 2015 and she leads an impressive team of architects and interior designers, and works with trusted builders and tradespeople to deliver high-quality residential projects.
As a qualified Passive House designer, Maria has overseen the creation of several high-spec sustainable homes. Her first certified Passive House project - in Gerringong - will be completed later in 2026.
Maria lives in the Shire with her family, and has strong links to her local community.
